My name is Heidi. I met Rick McCarthy in December of 2020, approximately 8 weeks after my family and I experienced a devastating house fire. At that point we were STILL living in a hotel @ $300/per night and we were not allowed to remove anything from our home or attempt to do any clean-up, etc. & what was left of the house was starting to mold, causing further damage.
We were VERY concerned but not having been thru a fire before, we didn’t know what to expect and assumed our adjuster had our best interest at heart. We started having even more questions after several people commented with concern on what we were being told.
At that point I reached out to The McCarthy Group and set up an appointment. Once we sat down with him and he explained what they were about, we didn’t need any more time to think about it & signed a contract with them.
Within 7 days he and his team had the dumpsters brought in & made arrangements to have a temporary power pole brought in so they could get started immediately.
They already had done more in those few short days than the previous agency in the 9 weeks prior! He had a team out there within a day or 2 cleaning & doing inventory on EVERY SINGLE ITEM. They literally did EVERYTHING for us, taking such a HUGE burden off our shoulders! They worked fast but carefully. They treated all of our things as if they were their own. So careful & respectful. It was such a relief to have that peace of mind & not have that constant worry….
Every single one of them have been professional & hard working. They ask questions and make sure they understand what WE want and encourage us to do the same before we move ahead.
Rick and his team at The McCarthy Group have been amazing. We are still in the middle but they make a point to ALWAYS keep us in the loop so we know what to expect. We are excited and looking forward to completing this process with them.
